The role of WebQuests in Learning a Foreign/second Language

A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. These can be created using various programs, including a simple word processing document that includes links to websites.
In webQuest students can actively participate in group discussion when exploring an issue .They also have a chance to actually use the target language in the form of reading web bag, writing presentations, listening to peer's opinions, and discussing ideas on critical issues. WebQuest allow students to engage in activities that encourage social interaction and collaboration so they have opportunities for communication in the target language. WebQuest develop students' critical thinking when they sitting through web recourse to find most appropriate information for the tasks. It provides an authentic, technology and rich environment for information processing, and collaboration. For that I will use WepQuest in teaching my students English language

How Would English Language Teachers Use Blogs, Wikis and Delicious With their Students?

The using of technology in education is important. It makes the learning more interesting . Also, we should develop our education system and we shouldn't stay on tradition pattern while other countries around us develop their education. English language teachers must use blogs ,wikis and delicious with their students.

Blog: they can use blog to invites students to collaborate. They can ask and answer questions to/from each other. Using blog helps learners improve their writing competence by posting things either  it is related to their study or something they interest in.

Wikis: teachers can post short video clips and photos to use for class discussion. Also, they can post video and audio that they've done in class for students who want to watch/hear them again.

Delicious: students can post links to sites that related to things they've read or watched in class.

The Possiblity of Reaching Bax’s Normilasation in our national context: Why is it possible? When is it possible/reached/achieved?How will it be reached?

Stephan Bax argues that, "Our aim should be to attain a state of `normalisation' in which the technology is invisible and truly integrated"
He suggested that we should give attention to the other fields that led to successful CAAL such as  technology, software teacher and learners' attitudes.
He added that CALL must take an account in studying these factors and take us - as profession-  to the right view about the language that computers alone are not enough for teaching .
He encouraged the ethnographic analysis studying for better understanding to the CALL.
He added that we have to make some useful researches into integration. Such researches can clear the factors that hinder the normalization of CALL.

In our Saudi context, it's possible to make such changes in CLT with the help of CALL. we can imagine our students using technology in their classrooms with laptops, multimedia and other sources  of technology.
I think technology nowadays  is available every where and for every one, so why don't we include it in teaching fields!
Some  Saudi schools are using technology but they do'non relay on it completely. I believe that one day our learning will depend on CALL.
Hello everyone..

This is the first time I use blogger and I hope you enjoy in it.
